GODLY ENCOURAGEMENT FOR MOTHERS (GEMS)

Australian National Coordinator - Mel Hayde  gems_enquiries@gfi.org.au

As mums, we can all get worn down with the continuity of our job and the consistency it requires. Often there are no new answers, as we may already have the answers we need sitting quietly in our spirit.

But we do get discouraged. We get tired. We get frazzled. What we really need is the empowering of the Holy Spirit - His quiet voice, His gentle lead. We need the fellowship of likeminded saints - to pick us up, dust us off and set us on our feet once again.

Our prayer is that GEMS will be part of the answers to both those needs for mums. Our Australian GEMS umbrella encompasses three areas - Contact Mums, our magazine "Facets Journals" and our fellowship groups. Contact Mums is a network of Christian women available to help parents think through the principles taught in classes, as well as the application to specific needs. Facets contains teaching, testimonies, Q&A and many other articles of interest to Mums. It builds on and supports the teaching contained in the GFI curricula.

Fellowship groups usually meet once a term to provide encouragement, fellowship and support among likeminded women, and can also be a vehicle to develop, promote and resource the establishment of small church based discipleship groups. Please get in touch if you would like to be put in contact with a group near you, or perhaps if you would like to help develop the network by commencing a group. We would love to help you!
